# Vehicle

> What vehicle state you can read through Amps.

Read an electric vehicle's battery level, range, and charging status.

| `batteryLevel` | State of charge, 0–100 percent. |
| `range` | Estimated driving range, in miles. |
| `plugged` | Plugged in to a charger. |
| `charging` | Drawing charge now. |
| `fullyCharged` | Reached `chargeLimit`. |
| `batteryCapacity` | Usable capacity, in kWh. |
| `chargeLimit` | Configured charge limit, in percent. |
| `chargeRate` | Charge rate, in kW. Negative when discharging. |
| `chargeTimeRemaining` | Minutes until `chargeLimit` is reached. |
| `maxCurrent` | Maximum current the vehicle accepts, in amps. |

List a user's vehicles with `GET /vehicle?userId=user_abc123`. See [Pull](/guides/pull) for freshness and pagination. In sandbox, vehicles follow a daily pattern in UTC: charging overnight, unplugged and draining during the day.

## What it accepts

Nothing yet. Vehicles are read-only: there is no command or settings endpoint for them. To control charging, use the [EV charger](/cookbooks/ev-charger) the car is plugged in to. See [Capabilities](/guides/capabilities).
