What is Device Management?

Device Management enables you to connect, discover, and manage devices from multiple OEMs through a unified interface. Once devices are connected, you can access them via the API, track their connection status, and manage them across your application.

Key Capabilities

Automatic Discovery

Devices are automatically discovered and registered when users connect them

Multi-Device Support

Support for multiple devices per user across different OEMs

Connection Tracking

Real-time visibility into device connection status

Cross-OEM Management

Manage devices from different manufacturers through one interface

How It Works

Device Connection

Users connect devices through the Link UI, which handles OEM authentication and device registration. Once connected, devices are immediately available via the API.

Device Discovery

When a user connects their OEM account, Amps AI automatically discovers all available devices and registers them to your customer account. You can then list and access these devices through consistent API endpoints.

Connection Status

Track whether devices are online, offline, or experiencing connection issues. The API provides connection status information, and webhooks notify you when connection status changes.

Use Cases

Multi-Property Energy Management

Manage energy resources across multiple properties for a single customer. Connect batteries, solar inverters, and HVAC systems from different properties and OEMs, then monitor and control them all through one API.

Fleet Operations

Connect and manage electric vehicles from different manufacturers in a single fleet. Track battery levels, charging status, and vehicle availability across Tesla, Rivian, Ford, and other brands through consistent endpoints.

Utility Programs

Enroll customers with diverse device types and manufacturers in demand response programs. Connect devices from various OEMs and coordinate load reduction across all connected devices during peak demand events.
